Does HE know YOU?

In Class on tuesday, we had the discussion of whether or not it is ok to kill someone just because they are a bad or evil person. For example with the situation of Hitler. I didn't say anything in class, I just listened to the discussion. And I may be going off on my on tangent here, but it reminded me alot of the idea of capitol punishment. If someone went and intentionally murdered another person, then does that person deserve to die as well? This issue is definitely a debated one for sure. In the aspect of Hitler's case where he had thousands of Jews slaughtered. That is another whole issue! That is thousands of innocent people! Of course that is wrong! However, in view of Bonhoeffer, it was brought up that he is not as concerned about morality as he is on whether one has encountered Christ. In my personal view, killing (murder) is wrong. What Hitler did was very wrong, no doubt about it. I believe that Bonhoeffer was looking at something completely different. He was looking at a person's soul. Have you truly encountered God? Yes, some may say "I know God" but does God Know YOU? I think, just as Dr. Talmage mentioned, the crucial thing here is whether or not GOD knows You and if you have truly had an encounter with Him.
