I listened intently to the debate about whether Hitler should have been killed or not. I was very torn between whether I thought Hitler should have been killed or not. I think he got out of it too easily when he committed suicide. I understand that he murdered millions of people, but who are we to judge him? I am not supporting Hitler, but I feel that he will receive his fate from our very just God. Murder can be a very touchy subject. People have killed just to kill while others have killed in self defense. We have soldiers who go overseas and kill people every day. I feel that we take it upon ourselves to decide whether killing is right or wrong when it is really God's decision that counts. We do have a right to put dangerous people in jail to protect the lives of others, but we do not need to judge them for what they have done. It was a very difficult debate Tuesday and it is hard to make a decision. We really just need to pray for these people who feel that they need to kill. They will receive their judgement from God when they go before Him.
P.S. I commented on Amanda's post, "Faith Is Not Rational."
