cast the first stone

There was something from class that was said that kind of bothered me in class last Thursday, and I have been thinking on it ever since. It was talked about several times by several different classmates that people who call themselves christians cannot give a reason for their faith, and could never know what it is like to give up much for Christ's sake.

Now before we go casting the first stone, let us think about who is to blame for that. Granted, spiritual maturity and intellect should be sought after for every believer, but it is our responsibility as those who have walked with Christ for years to train and to teach. When we hear of these "Weak Christians", we have to wonder how much of that reflects our actions, or lack there of. A key part of discipleship that we have to remember is that we are supposed to be like Christ, which in turn would mean that we should have a circle of people we invest in and so an and so forth. HE assured us that we would do far greater things than He has done. Why then have we not shown it? If we think we have enough of this figured out to the point of calling others out, then let us be consistant and lift those up and teach them as they should go so that they/we will look different than the world...
